The Company

We are Alloy Therapeutics — a biotechnology ecosystem and Product Development Organization (PDO) empowering the global scientific community to make better medicines together. Through a community of partners, we democratize access to pre-competitive tools, technologies, services, and company creation capabilities that are foundational for discovering and developing therapeutic biologics. The company facilitates affordable, non-exclusive access to the entire drug discovery community from academic scientists, small and medium biotech, to the largest biopharma. At Alloy, we believe our industry should compete on getting the best drugs to patients as quickly as possible, not exclusive access to the best platforms. As a reflection of our relentless commitment to the scientific community, we reinvest 100% of our revenue in innovation and access to innovation. May the Best Drug Win.

Alloy has evolved from a startup into a global product development organization operating 11 divisions across 5 research sites in 4 countries on 3 continents. Our model - Integrated Independence - combines centralized capabilities with entrepreneurial operating divisions. Successful members thrive in our shared culture of accountability, deliberate trust, and open communication. As a team we aspire to work together to exceed expectations and collectively contribute across the global organization to always maintain our nimble, startup culture.

At Alloy, we have an ethos of "Mentorship-By-Apprenticeship" in all of our positions. We strive to have workers in the office when needed to interact organically and face-to-face. Of course, as a lab-based operation, our cells and animals grow 7 days a week, 365 days per year. We respect and value our colleagues for their hard work that requires them to be in the lab every day. We ask our people who have more flexible accommodations to appreciate their colleagues who have less flexibility. We are all one team!

About the Role at Alloy Therapeutics
Alloy is building the world’s first fully scaled Product Development Organization and forming a unified technology organization to accelerate drug discovery and bring the power of the PDO to partners around the world. Our Chief Technology Officer leads that organization and serves as CEO of Vigilance, Alloy’s national security division, which builds partnerships for public benefit and impact around the world. In a single week, the CTO may move from engineering reviews, to board preparation, to meetings with senior government officials, often across continents.

As Senior Executive Assistant, you own the CTO’s most limited resource: time. You will make the judgment calls that turn priorities into a calendar, orchestrate complex international travel, and serve as the warm, polished front door to the Office of the CTO (OCTO). You will work hand in glove with the VP, Business Operations: they shape what the CTO focuses on, and you make sure the CTO’s time, travel, and logistics deliver it. The CTO leads through empowerment and a servant-leader mindset, and you will carry that same spirit in every interaction.

We want to be direct about the pace. Some weeks, the CTO is abroad supporting partners while board materials, executive presentations, and high-stakes external meetings converge at home. Plans change mid-flight, and early mornings happen. Your job is to keep the CTO a step ahead and make those weeks feel calm. If that sounds like the work you are best at, read on.

To apply, include a short note describing the most complex week you have orchestrated for an executive, and one judgment call you made on their behalf without being asked Applications without this note will not be considered. Feel free to submit in place of a formal cover letter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the CTO’s time: Manage the CTO’s calendar with strategic judgment, not just scheduling. Decide what gets time and when, protect focus and personal time, sequence the week around what matters most, and anticipate conflicts before they surface.
  • Orchestrate travel: Plan and run complex domestic and international itineraries, including multi-city trips, visas, time-zone transitions, and contingencies, so the CTO arrives rested, briefed, and on time.
  • Be the front door: Triage correspondence and requests, and represent the Office of the CTO with warmth, polish, and discretion to executives, board members, government officials, and partners.
  • Partner with the VP, Business Operations: Translate the VP, Business Operations’ priorities for the CTO into time and logistics. Assemble briefing books and meeting materials and track follow-ups and action items from the CTO’s meetings to closure.
  • Run the rhythm’s logistics: Schedule and prepare, in partnership with the VP, Business Operations, weekly leadership meetings, monthly business reviews, quarterly planning sessions, and board preparation for a team working across U.S. and European time zones.
  • Deliver gatherings and visits: Plan leadership offsites, retreats, partner meetings, and visiting delegations end to end, from venue and agenda logistics to protocol and follow-through.
  • Keep the office running: Manage expenses, vendors, and office budgets, and help new leaders get set up and connected when they join.
  • Work smarter: Use modern productivity and AI tools to automate routine work and continuously improve how the office operates.
Qualifications
  • Senior executive support: Typically 8 or more years supporting C-suite executives or senior government officials, ideally in technology, biotechnology, or the public sector.
  • Calendar judgment: Has owned a senior executive’s calendar with authority to make priority calls on their behalf, within agreed upon bounds, and can walk us through how those calls were made.
  • Travel mastery: Has orchestrated complex international travel across multiple time zones for a senior executive, including last-minute changes.
  • Discretion and presence: Has handled confidential matters for senior executives and served as a primary point of contact for board members, senior executives, or government officials. Familiarity with diplomatic or government protocol is a plus.
  • Anticipation: Has run follow-up and preparation systems that kept an executive ahead of their commitments, with examples of issues caught before they reached the executive.
  • Tool fluency: Has used modern calendar, email, document, and AI tools to automate or streamline an executive office.
  • Servant-leadership mindset: Has supported executives and teams in ways that measurably made them more effective and can name leaders who would vouch for it.
  • Availability: Able to flex working hours across time zones when the CTO is traveling, and to travel occasionally for offsites and key events.

Why This Role Is Unique
  • This is a role for someone who wants to be at the center of the action, at the intersection of AI, biotechnology, and national security:
  • You will work directly with a dual-hat executive whose week can span engineering reviews, board preparation, and meetings in Washington and Geneva.
  • You will be part of a two-person OCTO team with the VP, Business Operations, where your judgment shapes how the CTO spends every hour.
  • You will join a team built on empowerment and servant leadership, where many people have chosen to work with this leader more than once.
  • Your success is visible in every room the CTO walks into prepared, rested, and on time.
